is this theinitiative of the Ferrovie dello Stato Group for the regional elections on Sunday 12 and Monday 13 February in Lombardy and Lazio.
Lo discount on railway tickets is valid for round trips and provides for the reduction of 70% compared to base price of the ticket for Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca, Intercity, Intercity Notte and couchette service. For the regional trains instead the reduction is the 60%.
How to buy tickets
Tickets can be purchased at Trenitalia ticket offices and authorized travel agencies for journeys to be made within 20 days close to the electoral round. The return journey cannot therefore be made beyond February 23rd.
To avail of the discounted rates you must present your own electoral card. If you do not have a card for the outward journey, you must subscribe to one substitutive declaration to be presented on board together with the tickets. For the return journey, in addition to the travel documents, the voter must also show the Trenitalia staff their duly stamped electoral card or, failing that, a specific declaration issued by the president of the polling station certifying that the vote has taken place.
For the voters that fall fromabroad expected the Italian Elector rate for international travel to and from Italy.
