Roberto Maroni and Nicola Zingaretti are the new governors of Lombardy and Lazio respectively. The Northern League leader won by 4,6 points over Umberto Ambrosoli, while the former President of the Province of Rome prevailed with a gap of more than 11 points over Francesco Storace. Finally, in Molise Paolo Di Laura Frattura leads Michele Iorio by 18,9 points.
Maroni obtained almost 2 million and 460 thousand votes, 42,8% of the preferences, against the 2 million and 195 thousand votes of the centre-left candidate, at 38,2%. The candidate of the Movimento 5 stelle Silvana Carcano snatched 13,6%, while Gabriele Albertini did not go beyond 4,1%. Carlo Maria Pinardi, of Fare to stop the decline, stopped at 1,2%. Excellent result for Ambrosoli in Milan: 48,3%, against 34,4 for Maroni.
With around 40,6% of the preferences, Zingaretti prevailed over the former candidate governor of the centre-right, with 29,3%. The Movimento 5 Stelle with Davide Barillari stood at 20,2%, while the civic list of Giulia Bongiorno stopped at 4,7%. Alessandro Ruotolo of Civil Revolution 2,2%. In Molise Iorio obtained 25,8% of the preferences, beaten by the exponent of the centre-left coalition with 44,7% of the votes. Grillino Federico Antonio reached 16,8%, Massimo Romano 11%. Antonio De Lellis 1,1%, Camillo Colella 0,6%.
