MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS – Mantua, Lecco and Matera towards the ballot but the Democratic Party is advancing

While the results of regional elections become more and more defined, with 5 to 2 of the Pd, which lost Liguria, but conquered Campania, the situation of the municipal elections remains rather in the balance, with partial ballots or, as in Sicily, not yet started. The only certain fact, at the moment, is that of theaffluence, down everywhere compared to the previous electoral round with an average of 64,94% of eligible voters, 8,57% less than in previous elections.

Voting took place in 17 provincial capitals, but the counting operations are in an advanced state only in some of them. Almost everywhere you go towards the ballot, which is almost certain to Lecco, where Brivio (centre-left) will compete with 39,2% and Negrini (centre-right) with 26,5%.

Ballot very likely also a Mantova, where the center-left candidate Palazzi, after three quarters of the ballot, is credited with 46,4% against Paola Bulbarelli's 26,5% for the centre-right, Matera (although in this case the scrutiny is very late) between Adduce (centre-left) and De Ruggieri (centre-right civic lists), a Nuoro, where the clash takes place in the second round between the centre-left candidate Bianchi and Soddu (civic lists) and Chieti, between the centre-right candidate Umberto di Primio (36,4%) and the centre-left Luigi Febo (30,2%).

Risk of ballot also a Vibo Valentia where, after the scrutiny of two thirds of the sections, the centre-right candidate Costa is accredited with 50,3% of the preferences. In the event of a second round, he would go to the ballot with Lo Schiavo (centre-left), who has 37% of the vote.

A TempioAndrea Mario Biancareddu from the Tempio Rinasce civic list won, however, with 52,07% of the votes.

Many ballots also in non-capital municipalities: the second round will go to Segrate, Vigevano, Saronno, Cologno Monzese, Corsico, Valenza and Faenza, while in Moncalieri, in Piedmont, the center-left candidate Paolo Montagna won, with 56,6 %.
