Appliances, surprise: Italy is greener than the Germans

A preview of the results of the Bosch survey on sustainable procurement. Europe is at the forefront but the Americans have also changed. Here are the news from CES in Las Vegas, the world's leading consumer electronics event

Appliances, surprise: Italy is greener than the Germans

Resounding, Italy has become first in Europe for its propensity for sustainability, even surpassing the Germans for the first time, according to a very recent survey carried out by the Group BOSCH batteries and motors (German) which will be announced on Monday 10 January, and conducted on a sample of 1.000 interviewees in 11 European countries. 9 out of 10 Italians, in fact, they declare themselves willing to behave in a more sustainable way and as many as 90% of Italians inquire about the characteristics of sustainability before and during the purchase of a large household appliance. Furthermore, 83% of respondents believe that it is the responsibility of brands and companies to help make lifestyles more sustainable. But it is the whole of Europe, albeit with different percentages of participation, which has veered - and the BOSCH research confirms it - towards a lifestyle that is very attentive to waste, so much so that eco-sustainability and the consumption of water, electricity and gas, are the first parameter in the purchase of large household appliances.

EVEN CES IN LAS VEGAS IS GREEN

The pandemic has had the merit of making not only Europeans - the first in the world for this - but also Americans, those who have increasingly polluted and wasted water, electricity and gas, more sensitive to the environmental emergency. An epochal change certified by the fact that even the 2022 edition of CES, Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (5-8 January, online and in presence) intended to promote and reward green appliances with the prestigious Best of Innovation award, with a category dedicated to eco-sustainable products and also to another category that of anti-bacterial appliances , antivirus, specifically dedicated to combat all forms of contagion. An event, the one in Las Vegas with half exhibitors compared to the 2020 edition and the big brands only in virtual presence, which re-proposes the usual trends which frankly could be done without: increasingly large TVs, increasingly expensive home theaters, smartphones that are very similar to each other, very very capacious fridges, washing machines unnecessarily huge for increasingly "mini" families, increasingly useless wearables even with the wifi collar for the dog, sophisticated audio and video functions that not even the most refined professional entertainment enthusiasts are able to perceive and appreciate ... So, after confirming you that once again for 2021 worldwide sales of consumer electronics and household appliances have increased between 10 and 25 percent according to the categories, we have selected the award-winning innovative products, the follies or in any case those devices that have intrigued.

THE ROBOT SPIES ON YOU

There is Timberlines, the solar-powered tile that can finally be nailed like traditional tiles and therefore favors do-it-yourself installation as much as possible. There is the series of dozens and dozens of self-driving cars (with vaguely curious visitors but freezing markets), many robots: around 2021 million of those for cleaning are sold in 30, a boatload because cleaning and hygiene together with laziness, they acted as a driver for these extraordinary automatons. Be careful not to make careless purchases: the spy with the camera also watches over children, cats and thieves but is extremely silent and hides, filming absolutely everything. The other robots - playful, canine, dancers, carers, guards and similarly very expensive - continue to make shows in fairs but not in sales. After the tiles, rightly awarded, a prize also for a creepy Mind-linked Batboth, a wearable system which, by measuring our reactions to perfumes, identifies the right one to create the ideal personalized bath foam or eau de toilette. Difficult to place in washing machine, whisk and TV shops. Aguardio G2, is a Danish device that can be installed immediately in the bathroom, which reduces the time in the shower by 20 percent with considerable savings. Basically while you are under the water, soaped, everything stops; this will help to learn not to waste time or water. The Parcels of Agrove it is the first modular vertical garden, connected to 2 apps: a monitoring app for managers and a learning app for citizens; all powered by solar panels. Cearitis he conceived PIRA, a connected trap that protects crops from pests by spreading a natural attractant to attract and trap pests out of an agricultural area.

SAVE, SAVE

Very serious and useful will be the innovation of FeraSol, a revolutionary treatment for industrial water to be treated consisting of a very powerful and ecological oxidant, in a stable and storable form with a patented process. It will be able to replace traditional environmentally harmful chemicals, making water treatment more sustainable while enabling water to be reused in industry. Zuvi Hello it's extraordinary, it's the first cordless hair dryer that reproduces the sun and the wind for a more efficient and natural drying process thanks to the new broad spectrum spatial modulated light technology. Very efficient, it respects the hair like no other appliance. Still on the subject of hair, theOréal has developed a sophisticated dispenser to create a perfect, calibrated, drip-free hair dye, thanks to a cartridge with the shade chosen from among the 40 available. A decidedly useful, portable tool, even for home use. And without waste: what is left over, which was thrown away, can then be reused. These are the CES 2022 awards for eco-sustainable devices.

NEWS AND SOME CRAZY

The monitor 55“ Samsung Odyssey Ark vertically curved, adjustable, tilting, impressive and engaging. Again a foldable laptop, like the smartphone. This time to propose it is the Asus, with its Zenbook Fold 17, fully open measures 17”. Cost? 4 thousand euros on the nail. No discounts. And then the augmented reality windshield of AGC and EyeLights which provides virtual information to avoid, for example, running over a cyclist who is still not seeing well; o evidence of roughness of the terrain to be avoided. Smart Dog Collar of the French start-up Inoxia thanks to a SIM it geolocates the dog in real time and, if desired, monitors its health. Always French Lili Light for Life is a lamp that emits almost imperceptible luminous fluxes that make the perception of the text more precise for those with dyslexia problems. For the digital farmer here is a tractor from John Deere self-driving, certainly more useful than a robot car; it has an autonomy of up to 10 hours, 12 cameras and a very precise GPS guidance system.

THE BEST IN THE KITCHEN? THE OVEN-HOOD LG

The new connected oven by will be the star of very beautiful, very hi-tech kitchens LG InstaView Double Oven equipped with the prestigious LG Think Recipe service.
