Haier Smart Home, a Chinese group founded in 1989 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, is confirmed as the world leader in home appliances: for the eleventh consecutive year it is tops the global ranking of home appliance brands. Compiled annually by Euromonitor International, a leading global provider of business intelligence, the report ranks manufacturers by retail sales value.
In addition to ranking first in Large Appliances, Haier is for the twelfth consecutive year in first place in refrigerators, for nine years in first place in the washing machine segment, and for 10 in the first place in freezers while for eleven years it has held the leadership in wine coolers. After the merger with Candy, which took place a year ago, Haier Europe has risen in fifth place for sales in Western Europe.
