In December 2016, according to Terna data, the demand for electricity in Italy was 26,2 billion kWh, an increase of 0,4% compared to the same month of the previous year.
According to the first provisional data, the overall electricity demand in 2016 decreased by 2,1% compared to 2015 (also on a like-for-like calendar).
In cyclical terms, the seasonally adjusted value of electricity demand in December 2016 recorded a positive change of 0,5% compared to the previous month. The trend profile confirms the growing trend already recorded in November.
