Is called JuiceAbility and allows electric wheelchairs to be recharged through the same columns used for cars (always electric, of course). Just download an app and bring along a smart cable. The new device is an invention of Enel X, which presented it to Ces 2020, a large event dedicated to hi-tech underway in Las Vegas.
JuiceAbility was born from the collaboration between Enel X and the Italian startup Avanchair and received the recognition of "good practice" by Anglat, an association that protects the right to mobility of people with disabilities. The new technology will arrive in Italy from June.
“With JuiceAbility, Enel X is making a network of over 11.000 charging stations available to people with disabilities, with which they can now recharge not only cars, but also electric wheelchairs,” explains Francesco Venturini, head of the company.
At Ces 2020, Enel X also presented other devices. For example Homix, a new smart home system designed to save on home heating, security and lighting management.
City Analytics, on the other hand, is a technology that allows public administrations to plan tourism, mobility and safety services based on the real needs of citizens. Works with Big Data: collects and analyzes the information obtained, in compliance with privacy regulations, from sensors, cameras and other data collection points located in the city (for example the origin and destination of people flows), processes them and makes them available to administrators.
Finally, in Las Vegas Enel X presented its solutions for public lighting, including Adaptive Lighting, which thanks to a system of sensors allows you to adjust the intensity of the light beams based on the real traffic and visibility conditions, thus allowing, with the same safety, to reduce energy consumption in cities.
