Electric mobility, Enel X and Hubject together for payments

Enel X, through Enel X Financial Services, the subsidiary specialized in payment solutions, has been selected by Hubject to enable financial settlement services between Charging Point Operator and e-mobility Service Provider on the Hubject eRoaming platform, a world leader. Called intercharge settlement, the service enables a future-oriented, automated B2B billing and payment solution that can reduce B2B processing costs and improve profitability for all participating business partners. The partnership will help make eRoaming a cornerstone of the large-scale deployment of electric vehicles. It will be available throughout the Eurozone by the end of the year.

“This long-term partnership – commented Giulio Carone, CEO of Enel X Financial Services – represents an important step forward in making our company a leader in the financial services market. The agreement demonstrates our commitment to offering innovative solutions that go beyond the traditional model of energy as a commodity and are based on the centrality of the customer. The fintech platform we have created aims to create new business models by paving the way for interoperability between different ecosystems.”

“We are very pleased – added Christian Hahn, CEO of Hubject – to be able to collaborate with Enel X to offer an unrivaled level of service and quality to the over 750 partners of our eRoaming platform. One of the biggest challenges in the EV charging industry, which requires many hours of manual work and numerous spreadsheets every month, can finally be considered solved. This allows all our partners to improve their business with every transaction made through intercharge SETTLEMENT”.

The solution is the first end-to-end B2B financial settlement service fully integrated within the e-mobility sector and allows CPOs to directly determine B2B rates for charging procedures and to automate the EMP billing and charging process. The new settlement solution eliminates manual tasks in classification, billing and payment processes, where mistakes are easy to make. The solution also provides a platform for online dispute resolution and valuable data analysis and reporting tools. Furthermore, it will improve the security of payments and the control of management expenses and help companies reduce them considerably.
