Acea enters the green mobility sector by investing in the network of charging stations and in the launch of a smart and innovative App. Acea e-mobility allows customers to recharge their vehicle at 10 authorized charging points thanks to interoperability agreements with other players in the sector.
How does Acea e-mobility work?
The Acea Energia App, compatible with all smartphone models, is available both on the Play Store, for Android systems, and on the App Store for iOS. Once the registration process is complete, which only takes a few minutes, you will need to enter the payment method by choosing between credit, debit and prepaid cards. Apple customers can also enter Apple Pay as a payment method.
Once the introductory steps have been completed, it will already be possible to make the first top-up. The map allows you to enter a certain address or to use the geolocation to find the nearest column. Before booking, the power of the system and the connectors present on the column (Type 2 or CHAdeMO) will be shown. Select the desired specifications and proceed with the booking, a completely free service for all new customers until December 31 2021 or directly to charging if you are near the charging point.
The App also has a dedicated area where it is possible monitor some parameters remotely, such as the percentage of charge of the car battery, the kW supplied and the total cost of recharging. Statistics and insights will make consultation easier.
The network of Acea columns is also on its way
The company has invested 29 million euros for the installation of 2.200 charging stations fast nationwide. The roadmap leading up to 2024 will reach its first stage during the summer of 2021, when 150 charging stations will be inaugurated in the capital. Acea's purpose is to promote the values of its brand, strongly based on respect for the environment and the energy transition, increasing the columns present on the national territory.
The launch of the advertising campaign is no coincidence “Electric mobility takes a step forward” it coincides with April, the month of Earth Day. The idea of sustainable mobility and the containment of CO2 emissions will be one of the most discussed topics this year. The European Green Deal has set ambitious goals in terms of mobility and the 2030 deadline is getting closer and closer: Acea too is therefore ready to do its part to reach the standards set by the community conventions faster.
