Electoral law: first yes to trust

307 votes in favor, 90 against. 9 abstainers. Tomorrow the vote on the third article and the final one by secret ballot.

The Chamber confirms its confidence in the government on the first article of the electoral law with 307 votes in favor, 90 against. 9 abstainers. Immediately after the proclamation of the result on article one (which contains the electoral system of the Chamber) the assembly of Montecitorio started the explanations of vote on the second confidence, that on article 2 of the bill (election system of the Senate ), which obtained 308 votes in favour, 81 against, eight abstentions.

In the morning, starting at 9, there will be explanations of vote on the third and final trust, the one placed on article 3 of the text. Voting will begin at 11. Next, the Montecitorio Assembly will examine the remaining two articles of the provision, and then move on to the agendas and final explanations of vote. The final vote will be by secret ballot, therefore the most risky.

Protests by the M5S and the left continued outside Montecitorio and at the Pantheon. The former President of the Republic Napolitano is also critical of the decision to place trust in the electoral law, criticizing the method by which the law arrived in the classroom and announcing that he will say everything he thinks about it to the Senate.
