Marcus Marsilius is the new governor ofAbruzzo. The candidate of center he prevailed with an overwhelming gap, exceeding 49% of the votes. Within the coalition flies the Alloy, the first party in the Region with 28,7% of the votes.
Instead the Movement 5 Stars, with the grillina candidate Sarah Marcozzi which failed to exceed 18,2%. At the policies of 4 March 2018, the M5S was the first list in Abruzzo with 40%.
In second position behind Marsilio is the candidate of centre-left Giovanni Legnini with 31,4%. In this percentage, however, the share of the Democratic Party - diluted among 7 other lists - is only 11,6%.

Abruzzo was called to early elections because the outgoing governor, Luciano D'Alfonso (Pd), was elected senator last March 4 in the political elections and had to resign from his governor's seat.
According to the president of Forza Italia, Silvio Berlusconi, Abruzzo's vote confirmed that "the centre-right is the natural majority among voters". An “important vote for the future of Italian politics,” she said.
The leader of Fratelli d'Italia, Giorgia Meloni, spoke instead of "a historic day: FdI manages to express its first president of the Region".
Great satisfaction from Marsilius: “With this team we will give Abruzzo a future as the Abruzzese deserve. The top priority is Reconstruction” after 2016 and 2017.
“We are over 30%, I would like to remind you that last year the centre-left in Abruzzo, the centre-left including Leu achieved a result of 17,6%, we had 10 points more but it was not enough. It is a starting point and the over 30% obtained in two months, seems to me an important result,” he said Legnini.
