Ei Towers: surprise dividend of 1,1 euro

The shareholders' meeting of Hey Towers today approved the 2014 budget, closed with a net profit of 31,2 million euros. On the proposal of Elettronica Industriale, which belongs to Silvio Berlusconi and is the relative majority shareholder, the meeting decided to allocate the sum of 31.088.614 euros to the distribution of dividends, to the extent of € 1,10 per share. The remaining 135.141 euros will instead go to the extraordinary reserve. The coupon will be paid on May 20th.

The decision to distribute a coupon came as a surprise, given that on 19 March, with the announcement of the 2014 results, the company controlled by Mediaset had decided, in the light of the offer on Rai Way, to allocate the entire profit of exercise to extraordinary reserve, to allow greater flexibility to the group.

The Ei Towers shareholders' meeting also approved the renewal of the Board, made up of nine members, six of whom are independent: Alberto Giussani, Guido Barbieri, Valter Gottardi, Piercarlo Invernizzi, Michele Pirotta, Paola Casali, Rosa Maria Lo Verso and Manlio Cruciatti - elected from the list presented by the majority shareholder – and Francesco Sironi, elected from the minority list presented by the shareholder funds.
