Financial education: Placed in the field with 42 seminars

October is Financial Education Month. According to the OECD Pisa, only 37% of the population in our country knows the basic concepts of economics and finance, against 71% in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Percentages that make it urgent to implement initiatives aimed at increasing the economic and financial literacy of citizens.

Promoted by the Committee for the planning and coordination of financial education activities (Edufin), Financial Education Month it includes seminars, lessons, games, workshops and free shows. “The goal is to offer opportunities to find out, discuss and understand how to manage and plan personal and family financial resources, exploring the topics of savings, investments, insurance and pensions”, reads a note.

Poste Italiane has also decided to join these initiatives, re-proposing the educational formula already successfully tested since last April in various Italian cities, including in the Monthly program a cycle of about 42 short thematic seminars, free and open to all . These seminars will be held on April 19, 21 and 22 in the post offices of Barletta, Gubbio, Latina Center, Palermo Center, Pavia Center and Trieste Center.

"The training events, conducted by experts in the Poste Italiane sector, are aimed at those who wish to enrich their basic knowledge on the topics of savings, protection and social security", explains the company in a note.
