Edison strengthens in the North Sea

Edison announces that it has completed the purchase transaction from Apache Beryl I (controlled by Apache Corporation) of interests in Scott (10,5%) and Telford (15,7%) oil fields located in concession P185 15/22 in the North Sea in the UK.

The transaction has a total value of 41 million euros and will lead to an increase in Edison's reserves of 8,7 million barrels of oil equivalent (85% oil and 15% gas). In 2014, the production of the Scott and Telford fields totaled 1,276 million barrels of oil equivalent for Edison's share and is expected to remain stable for the next 3-4 years, guaranteeing Edison on average 3.500 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Thanks to this operation, it is estimated that in 2015 Edison's production in the United Kingdom will reach a total of approximately 6.500 barrels of oil equivalent per day, bringing the company's daily production to 53.500 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The Scott and Telford oil fields are managed by Nexen, one of the most reputable and experienced operators in the region.
