Edison, Delmi-EDF agreement signed

The French have accepted the Italian proposal: 30% of the energy company passes to EDF, which thus rises to 80% overall, while control of Edipower will go to the shareholders gathered in the national consortium Delmi, led by A2A.

After a year of negotiations it has finally been signed the agreement for the restructuring of Edison. Another 30% of the energy group passes to the French of Edf, which thus rise to the80,7%, while in Delmi (the consortium of Italian shareholders led by A2A) will be up to total control of Edipower.

The agreement was made official in advance of the expiry of the agreements, set for 30 December. After the December 22 meeting between the Minister of Economic Development, Corrado Passera, and the number one of Edf, Henry Progliocontacts between the parties also continued in the following days. Eventually the French accepted the latest Italian proposal. 

Despite the good news, which also came as a surprise, at 10 am the Edison share lost more than one point in Piazza Affari.
