Edison: wind sale, only F2i remains in the running

Decisive moment for F2i, left alone in the race to sell a majority stake in Edison's renewable energies in Italy, around 600 MW of mainly wind plants with a smaller portion of solar.

As for Terra Firma, a private equity firm in the United Kingdom which had acquired Terna's photovoltaic assets in recent years, withdrew from the game after formulating a non-binding proposal at the end of February.

At the moment, an exclusive deal has not yet been signed to deal with the fund led by Vito Gamberale, however this formal step could already arrive in the next few days since Edison's goal is to close the deal within the first half year.

The percentage of capital that will be taken over by the buyer will also be the subject of the negotiations, a majority share between 60% and 70%.

Faced with the request to comment on these rumors, Edison preferred not to comment.
