Edf repays Transalpina's loan

The French closed the last pending account they had left on Italian soil. The French energy giant Edf has repaid the 1,26 billion loan held by Transalpina di Energia, the holding company which, until last summer, was jointly owned by Edf and by the consortium led by A2a and which controlled the 61,28 .XNUMX% of Edison.

In recent days EDF has repaid the expiring loan that had been contracted in 2005 just when the French took over the majority of the energy group together with the Italian consortium. The Parisian group returned the loan to the banks to the consortium formed by Credit Agricole, Société Générale, Bmp, Mediobanca and Bpm, making recourse to the central treasury headed by Edf Ig, which in turn granted Transalpina a loan of the same amount .
