Électricité de France, the largest energy producer and distributor in France, expects to sell at least 10 billion assets by 2020. The sale is expected to finance the investment program and meet funding targets.
In detail, the sale would derive from the need to find resources to be allocated to the construction of the EPR nuclear reactor in Great Britain and to the purchase of the Areva reactor.
The news was disclosed by the transalpine newspaper Les Echos which also talks about the possible sale of the exploration and production business EDNn.MI, a company controlled by Edison. At the moment the French giant would not have released any comment on the news.
