They leave theMotorcycle eco-bonus andEco-bonus electric scooters 2022: the measure promoted by the Mise and envisaged by the Simplifications decree, to encourage the transition to electric mobility. The Ministry of Economic Development has allocated another 20 million euros for 2022. Starting at 10 am on Wednesday 19 October 2022, the ad hoc platform to book incentives for the purchase of electric motorcycles and scooters.
For electric motorcycles and scooters, the Government had already made 15 million available, which however had run out quickly. The same amount of 15 million euros is already foreseen for 2023 and 2024.
Ecobonus motorcycles and Ecobonus electric scooters: who can request it?
The motorcycle Ecobonus and the electric scooter Ecobonus can be requested directly from the seller by all those who purchase a new electric vehicle of the categories L1e, L2e, L3e, L4e, L5e, L6e, L7e (mopeds and motorcycles with two, three or four wheels without power limits). The discount will be calculated as a percentage of the purchase price: 30% in cases without scrapping, 40% if the purchase brings scrapping an old vehicle with homologation between Euro 0 and Euro 3. In any case, it cannot exceed 3 thousand euros. To access the incentives, the vehicles purchased must be brand new, electric or hybrid and purchased and registered in Italy.
Last May, more than half of the funds provided for category L vehicles – i.e. motorcycles and mopeds with two, three or four wheels – had run out within hours of the opening of the online platform for ecobonus bookings.
How does the 2022 Ecobonus for electric motorcycles and scooters work?
I sellers, after registering in the area dedicated to them of the Mise platform, they can book the contributions relating to each individual vehicle, obtaining, according to the availability of funds, a booking registration receipt. It will then be the dealer who will pay his customer theEcobonus for motorcycles or scooters by offsetting the purchase price (discount on invoice). In turn, the manufacturers or importers of the vehicle will have to reimburse the seller for the amount of the contribution, to then recover it in the form of tax credit.
