The 2022 car Ecobonuses are back. After the start of theEcobonus motorcycles and scooters, from 10 on Tuesday 2th November 2022 on platform prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development bookings will reopen for i new incentives for the purchase of non-polluting cars up to 60 g/km CO2.
"With the launch of this measure, the industrial design started at the beginning of my mandate to accompany the supply chain and citizens towards the green transition, focusing on a pragmatic approach that takes into account not only the economic and environmental effects but also the social ones”, declared the now former Minister of Economic Development Giancarlo Giorgetti and new Minister of the Economy “Instituting for the first time at the Mise an ad hoc fund of 8,7 billion euro, loans and instruments dedicated to both the supply and demand side have been made structural, with the aim of giving a strong acceleration in the diffusion of less polluting cars and solid support for Italian industrial productions”.
Ecobonus auto 2022: how it works and who can use it
The innovations introduced primarily concern citizens with a income less than 30 thousand euros, which for the purchase of category M1 vehicles, electric and plug-in hybrid, will be able to benefit for 2022 from a 50% increase in contributions foreseen so far on the basis of the resources already allocated.
Ecobonus auto 2022: up to 7.500 euros of "discount"
Going into details, the incentives have been remodeled as follows:
- up to a maximum of 7.500 euros contributions with scrapping (€4.500 without scrapping) for the purchase of new vehicles with emissions in the 0-20 g/km CO2 range and with the car manufacturer's list price equal to or less than €35 excluding VAT;
- up to a maximum of 6.000 euros of contributions with scrapping (3.000 euros without scrapping) for the purchase of new vehicles with emissions in the range of 21-60 g/km CO2 and with the car manufacturer's list price equal to or less than 45.000 euros excluding VAT.
Car eco-bonus 2022 for rental businesses
Furthermore, the Mise specifies “the new eco-bonuses will also be due to the legal entities they perform car rental business for commercial purposes, other than car sharing, provided they retain ownership of the vehicles for at least 12 months". In this case, the expected figures are as follows:
- up to a maximum of 2.500 euros contributions with scrapping (€1.500 without scrapping) for the purchase of new vehicles with emissions in the 0-20 g/km CO2 range and with the car manufacturer's list price equal to or less than €35.000 excluding VAT;
- up to a maximum of 2.000 euros of contributions with scrapping (1.000 euros without scrapping) for the purchase of new vehicles with emissions in the range of 21-60 g/km CO2 and with the car manufacturer's list price equal to or less than 45.000 euros excluding VAT.
