Here are the new uniforms for Italian postmen. They will be ready in 2017 but the process for their creation started today, Wednesday, and it will be a young stylist who will ensure the maternity care of the 60.000 uniforms (half winter, half summer) that Poste Italiane is now preparing to sew. Beatrice Bazzano, a student of the Modartech Institute of Pontedera, is the winner of the contest launched by the Post Office – explains a company release – in which the best young Italian stylists and designers took part to design the new uniforms for postmen.

The challenge launched among young emerging fashion creatives was born to communicate the change and innovative spirit of Poste Italiane also through the new look of the delivery staff. Bazzano, 22, was born in Fucecchio (Fi), is enrolled in the 2nd year of the Fashion Design and Planning course, and will now receive a scholarship worth 20 euros to access a master's or a specialization in Italy or abroad. She appeared happy, a little excited and perhaps dazed by photographers, journalists and cameramen. The contest was attended by students from 26 Italian public and private fashion and design institutes whose works were submitted to the judgment of professionals and technicians in the sector.

The colors remain the classic blue, light blue and yellow, played in contrast on the finishes, the materials, of light weight, are technical and breathable. Shirts, tops and trousers are in semi-elastic fabrics and have practical adjustable internal and external drawstrings, convenient storage pockets and scratch-resistant zips. The jacket uses water-repellent fabrics. Unisex lines but also with some more sartorial concessions for the women's line.
