Here is Betsfy, the Instagram of sports predictions

The social network founded in Spain and dedicated to tipsters, i.e. users who want to publish their predictions and thus become sports influencers, arrives in Italy - But not bettors: "You don't make bets on the platform", assures the founder, a former professional basketball.

Finally, football will also have its Chiara Ferragni. She will not be called a fashion blogger but he (or she) will also be an influencer: the exact definition is tipster, i.e. predictor of sports results, and as the rule of social networks dictates, anyone can become one and everyone is free to follow whoever they want, following the tips in this case not on how to dress but on which team to aim for in the next league or Champions League match. Arrives in Italy, from Spain, the Instagram of sports predictions: it's called Betsfy and the word "prediction" is not chosen for a strictly ethical reason. "It is not possible to make bets on the site", the founder Juan Carlos Barros Martinez immediately specified, 51 years old and former professional basketball player (he also played in the Iberian national youth teams), on the occasion of the presentation event in Milan, organized by Hellodì , the communication agency that manages the social media pages most followed by young football fans, from Calciatori Brutti to Calling Yourself Bomber.

It is precisely that pool of digital natives "sick" of sports and (hopefully responsibly...) accustomed to betting, from which Betsfy wants to draw, which in Spain, where it was founded by Betmedia, a leading company in affiliate marketing for over ten years, boasts over 150.000 registered users. “We are a social network like any other – explains Barros -, during registration you are not even asked for a credit card because no type of bet or payment is made on our platform, which can also be downloaded as an app. It's a community where tips and predictions are exchanged, then one can go and bet elsewhere if he wants”. And therefore you can follow or even become a tipster yourself: there is a bulletin board, like those on Instagram or Facebook, where you can read or publish your predictions. “In this way, the tipsters also become influencers – continues the Spanish entrepreneur -, with the opportunity to turn a hobby into a profession and open a virtual prediction shop on the platform”.

To launch the platform, Betsfy also came up with the first World Cup of forecasters: a real World Cup, a prediction competition in which both tipsters and simple users from any country can participate. Every month players compete online to qualify for the semi-finals, where the top six finishers for each country will compete from 26 to 28 April and from 10 to 12 May in Tenerife in the Betsfy House, the villa dedicated to tipsters and their followers which allows live, “physically”, the Betsfy experience. The winner will be announced over the weekend from May 31st to June 2nd in Las Vegas, where four tipsters from each country will arrive. Although Betsfy is not a betting app, the launch will not be advertised, in compliance with the new Italian gambling legislation. “We are aware of the Italian laws and we strictly want to respect them”, guaranteed the lawyer Miguel Juane Sànchez.
