The ECB bulletin urges the 8 Eurozone countries that record worrying levels of debt to make further efforts to restore their accounts – Cut the GDP estimates of the currency union.

According to Frankfurt, there are eight countries in the Eurozone “exposed to high risks for the sustainability of the public budget in the medium term” . Among these there is also Italy, called together with the others to "further efforts to restore the accounts", in a context of a more tepid recovery compared to forecasts at the beginning of the year.

The forecasts of the central institute on the GDP of the Eurozonein fact, they have been cut to 1,4% for this year (from 1,7%) and to 1,7% for 2017 (from 1,9%) with a forecast of 1,8% for 2018. Inflation estimates have been cut to 1,6% for 2018: the recovery in prices should begin in the second half of the year.
