The first quarter of is archived eBay, which closed with revenues up 4% year-on-year to $4,45 billion. Profits also grew, to 626 million dollars against 584 million in the same quarter last year. Earnings per share came in at 77 cents, above the 70 cents expected by the market.

The future separation from Paypal which, starting in the third quarter of this year will be a separate company.
