Details of the dividend paid for the period (1 October 2013 - 30 September 2014) will be disclosed at the group's annual results on 18 November and the coupon will be subject to shareholder approval at the general meeting on 12 February.

Meanwhile, EasyJet has ordered 27 additional Airbus A320ceo aircraft, bringing the number of its aircraft in this category to 315. The British company, which has an all-Airbus fleet, has chosen the A320 Family aircraft.

The new contract is worth $2,05 billion at list prices and the group said it got "a very significant discount" off the theoretical price. The 27 A320s operated by EasyJet will be delivered between 2015 and 2018.
