Technical assistance for commercial development and marketing, aid for the purchase of software and ICT applications, actions to promote cultural heritage and therefore tourism, contributions for the repair of damage to movable capital goods and the restoration of stocks. These are some of the interventions planned and, in part, already implemented by the Chambers of Commerce of the areas affected by the earthquake of 24 August 2016. The Chamber system, thanks above all to the contribution granted by the Chambers of Commerce of Lombardy through the Regional Unioncamere, was able to finance a series of projects intended to help businesses in those areas to restart.
Each of the Chambers of Commerce in whose territory there are municipalities affected by the seismic crater (Ancona, Ascoli Piceno, Fermo, L'Aquila, Macerata, Perugia, Pescara, Rieti, Teramo, Terni) has identified specific lines of action to give support to the productive fabric and contribute to the revitalization of local economies.
The projects presented to the Unioncamere Solidarity Fund, the total amount of which exceeds 2 million euros, aim both at issuing vouchers, providing incentives or non-repayable contributions intended for the restoration of damaged economic activities, and at enhancing the territories , promoting places, events and cultural and tourist excellence and thus contributing to relaunching businesses in the hospitality, commerce and handicraft sectors.
