EADS: 2012 profit +19%, turnover +15%

Turnover rose by 15%, to 56,5 billion – The Franco-German defense giant explains that the result was achieved thanks to the increase in deliveries by Airbus and the strong progress of the Eurocopter subsidiary and Astrium.

The Franco-German defense giant Eds ended 2012 with a net income up 19%, to 1,2 billion euros. A result obtained despite "a difficult macroeconomic context", write the company. 

Il turnover increased by 15%, to 56,5 billion, thanks to the increase in deliveries of Airbus and the strong progress of the Eurocopter subsidiary, the world's number one in civil helicopters, and of Astrium, the space division, supported by the service activities. 

Operating profit before non-recurring items amounted to 3 billion, up 68%. A further increase to 2013 billion is expected for 3,5.
