As of today it's official: Sony cuts 10 employees worldwide by the end of March 2013 to rebalance the group's balance sheet, seriously affected by the economic crisis.

The Japanese electronics giant has in fact announced that it has registered in the 2011-2012 fiscal year a loss of 520 billion yen (about 5 billion euros). The patron himself, Kazuo Hirai, explained it during a press conference in Tokyo. Hirai has left no room for alternatives other than to review the scope of activities and reduce fixed costs, such as the workforce.
