E.On doubles its commitment to the environment in Italy

E. Hon doubles its commitment to the environment in Italy. The German company has exceeded 28 trees planted in our country and aims to double this number in 2017, reaching 60 thousand trees, as part of the future developments of the “Boschi E.On” initiative, launched in 2011.

The "Boschi E.On" project provides for the planting of trees in Italian wooded areas upon subscription by customers to the E.ON offer Green Gas. The idea is to improve the living conditions of the surrounding ecosystem thanks to the new trees that can absorb part of the CO2 emissions deriving from the consumption of natural gas for heating or cooking by families.

The trees are planted in the E.ON Woods thanks to the partnership with Zero CO2 which guarantees the perfect compliance of the forestation interventions with the ethical principles and methodologies for certification. The E.ON Boschi are all located in Italy, in 9 areas located near the territories with the greatest concentration of E.ON customers.
