m-dis launches the “Punti di Ritiro” service throughout Italy, the initiative that allows you to collect your online purchases at newsagents. After the success of experimentation carried out together with IBS.it, the first partner adhering to the project, out of 400 newsstands in the Milan, Turin and Genoa areas, the "Punto di Ritiro" service of m-dis Distribuzione Media SpA is now active at 2.000 newsstands. The service is currently expanding throughout the country and is already active in over 60 provinces.

The initiative was born from m-dis, a company active in Italy in the distribution of daily newspapers and magazines on newsstands, and by IBS.it, historic Italian online bookshop, which is therefore the first company to join the project and the first e-commerce that has chosen to offer its customers this new service.

La constant growth of e-commerce in Italy (19,3 billion euros in 2016, +17% compared to 2015) makes it strategic to provide the end customer with an efficient delivery service in terms of accessibility to pick up the purchase.

The "Pick-up Point" service, launched through the PrimaEdicola.it portal by m-dis, allows e-commerce sites to reach all customers who cannot or do not want to wait for home delivery, thus opening up the possibility for online shops to increase sales by reaching a new group of customers.

“The collaboration started last year with Ibs has confirmed to us that the service is fast, reliable and extremely appreciated by online buyers – he comments Pietro Millosevich, Commercial Director of m-dis – With our PrimaEdicola.it “Collection point” service, we provide the end customer with an integrated and traceable system in each logistics step consisting of transport, custody and delivery through the network of Italian newsstands, the most widespread structure present on the territory, traditionally linked to customers by a relationship of knowledge and trust. It is an innovation that benefits all players in the system: buyers, online shops and newsstands”.

“We are very proud to be the first partner of “PrimaEdicola.it” managed by m-dis – he comments Guido Rugginini, Operations Manager of IBS.it – In recent months we have worked side by side with them to better build the service. We tested the deliveries in the newsstands adhering to the project in the areas of Milan, Turin and Genoa with excellent results in terms of appreciation from customers who were able to choose their trusted newsagent to deliver their order. With this new service, which joins the already active ones of Poste Italiane, TNT Point, TNT locker and in our bookstores, we now exceed 12 collection points: IBS.it therefore has the most extensive network in Italy, including our customers can choose”.

The collection points service of Primaedicola.it is also active for the deliveries of CalcioRegali, an initiative by the Panini Publisher reserved for the 2017 Calciatori collections, and will soon open to other new merchants.
