Dzeko stays in Rome and displaces Inter who rethink the Icardi-Dybala exchange

The moment of “plans B”. Two weeks (abundant) from the end of the market, the big homegrown companies find themselves having to draw up an initial assessment of their respective markets, a sort of point focused on understanding how far away the goals are, incoming and outgoing. Certain, there is still time to do things but it is undeniable that some negotiations have been dragging on for months now, so much so as to make the so-called white smokes more and more complicated.

To watch the Dzeko case to believe: the Bosnian, courted by Inter since May, instead ended up renewing his contract with Roma, leaving the most classic of matches in Conte's hands. "This club is my home - Edin's statements after signing until 2022. - I'm happy to be able to stay for a long time, there are every chance to win a trophy". A bolt from the blue, motivated by two factors: firstly the desire of the Nerazzurri not to raise the initial offer, secondly Icardi's refusal to enter into the operation.

And so Roma, also "rejected" by Higuain, decided to keep their current number 9, moreover the author of a very high level pre-season. Someone, it should be emphasized, believes that the renewal is just a tactical move by Petrachi to sell it better and that Inter can still play some chances, however, of course that if getting to Dzeko was already complicated before, let alone now with a three-year in the safe.

The time has therefore come to examine other leads and the hottest seems to be that of Luka Jovic, striker just bought from Real Madrid but already rejected by Zidane. An anomalous situation that forces the blancos to find convenient solutions and this could be Inter, interested in the past in the Serbian, moreover his executioner in the last Europa League. But the Nerazzurri's offensive problems don't just concern revenue: the Icardi question, in fact, is yet to be decided.

Argentine is the thickest plug and Marotta is ready to do anything to get rid of it, even to sell it to the rival par excellence. The problem is that Juve also has a case to manage: Dybala, beyond the tactical phrases of Paratici in that of Villar Perosa, continues to be on the market. The hypothesis of an exchange between the two, which already emerged last winter, risks becoming strongly fashionable again in the coming days, provided that the PSG, once the Neymar issue has been resolved, does not decide to shuffle the cards.

In the meantime, at Inter we are talking about the exchange of loans with Fiorentina between Politano and Biraghi, as well as Vidal, considered the most credible (and cheapest) alternative to Milinkovic-Savic. Juve, on the other hand, awaits news from Montecarlo, where Rugani and Matuidi could marry, but also from Monaco, where Mandzukic continues to be talked about, although the purchase of Coutinho reduces the spaces in attack.

Who quivers is certainly Ancelotti, who is waiting for Lozano (the official announcement will arrive at the beginning of the week) sees James Rodriguez walk away again, in the odor of confirmation from Real. Florentino doesn't like the blue loan offer with the right to buy, and the fans also want it and the president is known to be very sensitive to polls. Carlo crosses his fingers and hopes, but in the meantime he has to wait and this, one week before the start of the championship, is not the situation he hoped for.

Everything is in flux even at Milan, where signings and transfers are inevitably linked. First of all, they are on the market André Silva, Castillejo and Laxalt, all out of Giampaolo's plans. Espanyol and Valencia like the Portuguese after the last-minute negotiation with Monaco, with the latter favored by virtue of the excellent relations with Mendes, while the Spanish full-back has little market due to last year's quotation (18 million) and therefore could only return to Villarreal on loan.

The speech on the Uruguayan is similar, disputed by three Italian clubs (Atalanta, Spal and Parma) and close to leaving Milan with the same formula (Bergamo favorites). But Boban and Maldini would like to raise cash also with Calhanoglu (Lipsia likes him) and Biglia, while Donnarumma, Suso and Kessie will only leave in the event of monstrous offers, vice versa they will remain with the Rossoneri. At the same time, we are trying to close the purchase of Correa (the parties have come closer but Atletico must first take Rodrigo) and we keep our eyes peeled on various tracks, with the knowledge that the sales could make various twists possible.

A very active market also for Roma, who continue to look beyond Dzeko for a central defender, with the almost certainty that it will not be Lovren. In fact, the Croatian is asking for too high a salary and the Giallorossi, despite having reached an agreement with Liverpool, have decided to change their objective. In the meantime, the purchase of the young Cetin is official (3 million to the Turkish Genclerbirligi) as well as the sale of Nzonzi, who moved to Galatasaray with the formula of the loan with the right to buy set at 16.
