Dyckerhoff (Buzzi Unicem): 9M revenues +14%

Dyckerhoff closes the first nine months of 2011 with a gross operating margin up 29%, to 231 million. One net profit reached 66 million, up from 50 million in the same period a year ago. Turnover is also good (+14%), which reaches 1,2 billion euros.

The company is a German subsidiary of the Buzzi Unicem group, which specializes in the production of cement. The numbers were communicated by a note from the same Italian company, which specifies that for the whole of 2011 Dyckerhoff expects a consolidated turnover of around 1,5 billion, with a "decided improvement" in Ebitda.

“Sales volumes grew in all the markets where we operate – the press release reads – with the sole exception of the United States, where they fell. Average prices improved compared to the same period of the previous year in Ukraine, Russia and Poland, while in the other countries they decreased”.

In the wake of these numbers, the Buzzi Unicem share is one of the few positive ones in Piazza Affari. Second only to those of Fiat, which gained 2,46%, the company's shares were in positive territory of 1,42% at the end of the morning.
