Two per thousand to the parties: 15 million collected, over half goes to the Democratic Party

In the race for the 2xmille assigned with the tax return to political parties by Italian taxpayers, the Democratic Party took home almost 8 million euros - Lega and Fratelli d'Italia also did well, nothing for the M5S as it is not a party - All last place Civic Choice.

Two per thousand to the parties: 15 million collected, over half goes to the Democratic Party

More than half of the "jackpot" went to the Democratic Party, which in the race for the 2xmille assigned with the tax return to political parties by Italian taxpayers he took home almost 8 million out of a total of 15,3 million donated from the citizens to the “caste”. A good sign of confidence, even in general, given that the entire jackpot is up by 3,5 million compared to 2016.

Therefore, 7.999.885 euros go to the party led by Matteo Renzi, which comes - in proportion to the related tax base - by 602 thousand citizens (equal to 1,48% of total Italian taxpayers, over 40 million in 2015, and 49,05% of the 1,2 million of our compatriots who indicated a party as the recipient of the 2×1.00). In second place, for political appeal that translates into funding, the Northern League takes place, who collects from his sympathizers (equal to 172.771 valid choices, 14% of those who crossed out the party option in their tax return) 1.894.085 euros, with a big step forward compared to the 1,4 million euros recovered last year.

Forza Italia and Fratelli d'Italia are also at the top, to which just over 850 thousand euros and the surprising figure of 789 thousand euros go respectively. No trace instead of the M5S, which as is known and reiterated several times is a movement and not a party, and therefore cannot consistently be part of the recipients' club. In fifth and sixth place for the destination of 2X1.00 of personal income tax we find two other "left" parties: we are talking about Sinistra Ecologia and Liberà (753 thousand euros, the result of the option of 65 thousand taxpayers, 0,16% of the total) and – somewhat surprisingly – Communist Refoundation (611 euros). Above 100 thousand euros we find the Sudtiroler Volkspartei (477 thousand euros), the Federation of the Greens (271 thousand euros), Possibile (247 thousand euros), Nuovo Centrodestra (200 thousand euros), the Democratic Center and the Italian Socialist Party (both 181 thousand euros). Close Civic choice with 100 thousand and 732 euros.
