Finally we start with the driving license bonus for road haulage. Starting from Monday 13 February, young people aged 18 to 35 can send their own question to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT) to obtain a contribution aimed at obtaining the qualification to drive means of transport for goods and people. For driving schools, the possibility of adhering to the measure has instead already been operational since last February 6th. But let's see what the 2023 license bonus is and how it works, also known as good driving licence.
What is the 2023 road haulage license bonus and how does it work
The driving license bonus is a contribution intended for young people who intend to obtain the following driving licenses for the transport of goods/people of the type C, C1E, CE and Driver Qualification Cards to work as a truck driver. The value of the bonus covers 80% of the cost incurred to obtain the driving licence. However, there is a maximum limit that can never be exceeded, equal to 2.500 euros. You can apply until December 31, 2026 or until funds run out.
In all, 25,3 million euros have been allocated to finance the subsidy fund. The measure had already been envisaged by the previous government led by Mario Draghi. In detail, 3,7 million euros have been allocated for 2022 and 5,4 million euros for each year from 2023 to 2026.
It is a voucher which has a dual objective: to help support the costs of qualifications such as the CQC (the costs of which are certainly not cheap) and, at the same time, to support the road haulage sector.
Who can apply for the 2023 driving license bonus? Here's who gets it
The recipients of the subsidy are young Italians and Europeans among the 18 and 35 years who intend to obtain a driving license (or professional qualifications) to be able to drive road vehicles used for the transport of people and goods. The voucher will also be usable by those who have already turned 36, but must have sent the application by the age of 35.
In fact, the bonus covers the period from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2026. Those who obtained their driving license between July 2022 and the date on which applications for the bonus open, provided the driving school has joined the initiative, will still be able make the request by selecting the "I have obtained the driving licence" option and indicating the date of an invoice relating to the payment for obtaining the driving licence/CQC. Once the voucher has been generated, you will have to request its validation from the driving school.
Any interested person can apply for the state contribution only once. And whoever intends to apply must do so as soon as possible: the contribution will be issued according to the chronological order of presentation of the requests and only until the resources are exhausted.
Applications must be sent exclusively electronically, by connecting to the MIT website.
How to apply for the 2023 driving license bonus? All the steps for the online application
After so much expectation finally from Monday 13 February it will be possible to apply to obtain the 2023. driving license bonus. But how?
Sul place the standard form is available and must be used to submit your application online. After logging in – using your usual credentials Speed, CIE o CNS – you must enter all the required documentation and information. Once on the platform, you will have the possibility to choose the driving school from the list of those that have joined the initiative. It will be the driving school that will activate the voucher. The voucher does not constitute taxable income for the beneficiary and is not counted for ISEE purposes.
All deadlines
You have to pay close attention. If you do not meet the deadline for using the bonus after it is issued, the benefit can be revoked.
In particular, once the bonus is issued, you have 60 days of time to use it. After this term, the driving license bonus is automatically granted canceled.
This does not mean that there will no longer be a chance to get the discount. The applicant can submit a new question, but the resources allocated, in the meantime, could run out.
In addition, a driving license or professional qualification must be obtained downtown and no further 18 months from the activation of the voucher.
Finally, if some form of discrepancy in the use of the contribution is ascertained, the driving school will be canceled from the reference platform (subject to any sanctions).
