Draghi supports the stock exchanges: today it's the Fed's turn

The confirmation of an ECB ready for action arrived yesterday from Mario Draghi initially supported the European markets which are on the rise in the middle of the day: il Ftse Eb 0,4% salt, London 1%, Paris by 0,8%. However, it proceeds in red Frankfurt (-0,22%) where sales crash on Volkswagen after the new list of vehicles to be withdrawn but also on Sgl Carbon (carbon fiber company) which launched a profit warning on the 2015 accounts.

The boost to price lists also came from Asia, with Tokyo which closed the rise of 1,3%, Shanghai + 4,3% Hong Kong +2,15%. In Japan, Tokyo's debut held the stage Japan Post, the most important IPO of 2015. In China, listings were boosted by the prospect of building a common market access platform between Shenzhen and Hong Kong listings, announced today by the Central Bank of China by the end of 2015. However, gains were reduced after the Central Bank of China clarified that the note published on its website which indicated its intention to get the Hong Kong-Shenzhen project off the ground within the year was nothing more than an excerpt from a speech given by the governor at the end of May.

Now the markets look to the Fed. In the next few hours there will be a bevy of speeches from Fed governors: Janet Yellen who will appear before the Senate committee, Brainard, Harker and Dudley tomorrow, Fischer will also speak today. Dudley and Lockhart again on Thursday. Bullard and again Brainard on Friday. Among investors, the idea that before the end of the year, rates will be raised. Different macro data are also expected in the afternoon: the new ADP jobs for October, the trade balance for September, the Markit PMI non-manufacturing index for October, the ISM non-manufacturing index also for October, the weekly inventories of oil and derivatives.

On the macroeconomic front in the Eurozone, Markit data was published today on thePMI services index which rose to 54,1 in October from 53,7 and the composite to 53,9 from 53,6, up for the 54th consecutive month, only slightly lower than the previous flash estimate of XNUMX. In the morning, the ECB President , Mario Draghi, speaking at the Forum on single European supervision underway in Frankfurt, asked that in addition to the banking union, it is necessary to implement fully and as soon as possible, the capital markets union project.

In Piazza Affari they shine Cnh Industrial (+ 3,3%), Tod’s (+ 2,8%), Tenaris (+ 2,4%), Prysmian (+ 2,3%) and Finmeccanica (+2,12%), which rises thanks to accounts above expectations and the increase in the guidance on margins. At the bottom of the Ftse Mib they fall fca (-2%), penalized by sales on Volkswagen, e Anima (-1,78%), which discounts the rumors about Arca Sgr, on which there would be an incoming offer from American investors. For some time, Anima has instead been indicated as a potential buyer of Arca.

You realize about Telecom Italy (-0,55%) after data without surprises from Tim Brasil e the clarifications by Xavier Niel to Consob, which seem to bring out a more speculative position on the part of the French entrepreneur. The founder of Iliad holds potential stakes of up to 15,1% of the Telecom group through options adjustable to maturity (starting from June 2016) and therefore without voting rights.

At the bottom of the Ftse Mib too Intesa Sanpaolo (-1,15%) And bmps (-0,55%).
