Draghi: Qe until at least March 2017

Quantitative easing will continue until the end of March or beyond if necessary. He claims it the president of the ECB, Mario Draghi, according to which accommodative monetary policy offers a "single window of opportunity for the implementation of structural reforms". Draghi underlines how structural reforms, together with a fiscal policy that supports growth, "will allow the euro area economy to reap all the benefits of monetary policy measures, leading to higher and sustainable economic growth and making the stronger economy in the face of shocks”.

The economic recovery of the euro area is proceeding moderately and the ECB "will act with all the tools available within the scope of its mandate” if necessary, adds Draghi, underlining that "the monetary policy of the euro area offers the necessary impetus for the recovery of the euro area to strengthen and for inflation to gradually return to levels in line with our objective".
