Draghi: pass for travel in Italy from mid-May and for Europe from mid-June

During the G20 for tourism, Prime Minister Mario Draghi today made important statements in the sign of post-pandemic reopening and the relaunch of tourism, which is among the sectors that have suffered the most from the anti-Covid squeeze.

“We must offer – said the Prime Minister – clear and simple rules to ensure that tourists can come to us in safety. From the second half of June, the European Green pass will be ready” to be able to travel throughout the Old Continent without having to endure quarantine as long as you are vaccinated or recovered from Covid and test negative in swabs.

But before Europe, Italy takes another step forward and "while waiting (for the EU to move) the Italian Government - added Draghi - has introduced a national green pass, which will come into force from the second half of May" .

"The world wants to travel to Italy, the pandemic has forced us to close down but Italy - concluded the premier - is ready to welcome the world back" and in this way "tourism will re-emerge stronger than before".

"There is no need to waste time, tourism - Minister Garavaglia said in turn - is the key to balanced growth and will be the testing ground once the pandemic is defeated".
