The gradual recovery of the Eurozone economy will begin at the end of the year. This is stated by the president of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi, on the occasion of a speech at the International Monetary Conference in Shanghai: "Our basic forecast scenario - he explained - continues to be that of a very gradual recovery starting in the second half of the year".
“The economic situation in the euro area – continued Draghi – remains challenging, but there are signs of a possible stabilisation”, stating, then, that the monetary union is, to date, much more resistant than in the past. Finally, the ECB "will continue to support macroeconomic performance by ensuring price stability".
