Dow Jones breaks through 20 points: it is the all-time record

Less than a week after Donald Trump's inauguration in the White House, and after coming very close in recent weeks (the previous record was 19,999 points), the US stock index has finally achieved the all-time record, surpassing the fateful threshold at the opening of the session – Driving effect on the FtseMib.

The Dow Jones can finally toast. After several weeks of waiting, going from record to record without ever reaching the fateful psychological threshold of 20 points, Wall Street's industrial index has made it: a few days after Donald Trump's inauguration in the White House, which has evidently started off on the right foot, creating an optimistic mood in the markets for example after meeting yesterday automotive entrepreneurs, the DJ scored an upward session, immediately touching 20014.86 points at the opening, with an increase of half a percentage point compared to yesterday's closing, when he closed at 19,994.48 points. Wall Street's exploits immediately infected the FtlseMib which is up 1% one hour after the closing.

A stock in the chemical sector in particular dragged the US index decisively higher: EI DuPont de Nemours & Co, which gained 4,5% at the start, followed by Ibm which rose by almost 3%. Intel and American Express also performed well, while in heavily negative territory there is only the communications company Verizon, which recorded a drop of 4,3%.
