Distances restored. Juventus does its duty by beating Livorno with a clear 2-0 and returns to + 8 on Roma. The pressure desired by Garcia was not there and neither was the athletic decline seen in recent games. Indeed, if possible the approach of the Giallorossi in the standings has awakened the hunger of the Lady, who entered the field determined to end the games as soon as possible. Too much for Livorno, who appeared to have given up right from the start and were already focused on next Sunday's match against Chievo, which is decidedly more affordable. Otherwise the choices of Di Carlo would not be explained, who left two valuable pieces on the bench like Paulinho and Greco because they are on a warning. Beyond this, however, Juventus proved to be decidedly superior, on the other hand, there weren't many doubts. Lined up with the classic 3-5-2 and with the best men (including Tevez, who returned after the muscle problem in Lyon), the bianconeri attacked the amaranths right from the start. Who actually have the first chance of the match after just two minutes, but Buffon is careful on Emeghara's shot from distance. It's just a flash in the pan though, because Juve has been grinding the game from the start.
In the 7th minute Tevez receives the ball from Llorente and kicks on goal, Bardi is attentive and blocks. The pressing was asphyxiating and Livorno soon gave up on playing for it, preferring to lock themselves in defence. The tactic, almost obligatory, is however destined to fail because the technical gap is too clear. And so, after touching the net with Chiellini (19'), the Lady passes. Fernando Llorente takes care of it, very good at turning around in the penalty area and unloading an elusive missile on goal (32'). The 1-0 draw doesn't appease the leaders' hunger, who on the contrary is insistently looking for a 2-0. Pogba tries from distance and on the following corner it is again Llorente who proves relentless, albeit with the kind collaboration of Bardi, who is decidedly awkward in his attempt to save. The match actually ends in the first half and the second half serves just to try to round off the result. The bianconeri tried with Llorente, Pirlo, Pogba while Livorno limited themselves to a shot by Duncan saved by Buffon. The finale is dedicated to Conte's substitutions, who give a few minutes of rest to Tevez, Llorente and Pogba (in their place in Giovinco, Vucinic and Padoin). Useful rotations for the Europa League (Lyon will arrive in Turin on Thursday) and for the championship, which has now entered its hottest phase. And, barring sensational twists, firmly in the hands of Juventus.
