The in-depth meeting promoted jointly by "La Rete dei Sì for the Constitutional Reform" and the national referendum committee "Basta Un Sì" took place in the afternoon of 17 November in the conference room at Via Uffici del Vicario 30. The initiative opened with the declaration of Sen. Roberto Cociancich, coordinator of the national committee "Basta Un Sì", who underlined: "I am especially grateful to women who clearly expressed their reasons for supporting the reform law. For the first time, the principle of balanced representation was introduced into the Constitution, recognizing that "the sovereign people is made up of men and women". Furthermore, the change in the relationship between the Regions and the State does not appear secondary, which remodels functions and decisions resulting in a homogeneous and no longer fragmented application on the national territory of regulations concerning the female world, such as for example the plan against violence ".

It fell to Massimo De Meo, national coordinator of "La Rete dei Si" to open the debate, moderated by Barbara Tedaldi, journalist of AGI. De Meo has above all thanked the collaborators and volunteers and in particular the women of the Rete dei Si, who in recent weeks have worked hard to carry forward the initiatives for the Si in Rome, in Lazio and in the committees set up in the various Italian regions, and he also recalled that the most beautiful experience of these weeks the one in schools remains to make people understand that this reform was designed for the next generations. The coordinator of La Rete dei Sì concluded with a quote from a well-known song by Giorgio Gaber: "Freedom is participation".

Senator Rosa Maria Di Giorgi said she will vote Yes in the Referendum "Because our constitution after 70 years must adapt to current times which are more complicated than the past, because Si serves the stability that protects us today. And because with the Yes our democracy can have more decision-making capacity in faster times ". Senator Emma Fattorini, with great passion, recalled that democracy really defends itself by reducing the distance of the person from the "Palace" and from an ineffective policy, which does not get things done, the Constitutional Reform also responds to this disappointment ".

Finally, the Hon. Irene Tinagli she focused on the reorganization of powers between the state and the regions "which will restore to the state the possibility of coordinating policies such as social policies and will have a particular impact on women because we know how the inefficiency of important services such as nursery schools, care for the elderly, housing policy, and the fight against poverty are all policies that serve citizens, but especially women, who are the ones who suffer the most when these services don't work".
