Dividends 2019, maxi coupon for the State: this is how much it will collect

Spring has officially arrived and with it dividend season, the favorite of all investors. The wait is about to end and in less than a month the main companies, listed and unlisted, will begin to detach their coupons. Even this year, despite the country's obvious economic difficulties, Italian companies have decided to be very generous towards their shareholders. Among them, there are only retail investors but also the State. Indeed, in via XX Settembre, April will be a feverish month, with the Ministry of Economy and Finance preparing to cash in the super coupons given by public subsidiaries.

How does it calculate The Sun 24 hours, this year the Mef will receive from its subsidiaries coupons for 2,46 billion euro, a record figure that represents an increase of 10% compared to 2017, when 2,19 billion euros arrived in the ministry's coffers.

Obviously, this is a total amount that takes into account the dividends detached from the main subsidiaries: from Cdp to Enel, via Poste Italiane, Leonardo, Eni, Enav and Ferrovie dello Stato.

DIVIDENDS 2019: THE COUPONS OF THE PUBLIC SUBSIDIARIES

Among the public subsidiaries, the lion's share will be as per tradition Deposits and Loans Fund. The company, 82,77% controlled by the MEF and 16% by banking foundations, has not yet announced its dividend. However, according to analysts' calculations, the share of profits that CDP will distribute to its shareholders should not undergo any particular changes compared to last year. If so, we would be talking about a payout of 61,05% on 2,5 billion euros in profits for a total coupon of approximately 1,525 million euro.

Remaining on unlisted companies, too state Railways (100% owned by the Mef) has not yet officially established its coupon, but it seems unlikely that there will be any changes compared to 2017. This year, the Fs recorded a net result of 559 million compared to the 552 million of the previous year. Analysts therefore await confirmation of a total dividend of 150 million.

Very generous too Enel (23,6% is from the State) which will distribute a coupon of 28 cents per share for a dividend yield of 5,1%, slightly lower than that of Eni (the MEF has 4,34%), equal to 5,43% for 83 cents per share.

Poste Italiane, of which the MEF controls 29,26%, will instead distribute 0,441 euros per share, while the excellent results recorded by Leonardo (Mef share: 30,2%) will result in a dividend of 14 cents per share. Remains Enav (Mef at 53,73%) which last March 11 announced a dividend of €0,1998, up 7% on the previous year.

DIVIDENDS 2019: HOW MUCH TO COLLECTIT'S THE STATE

By virtue of the figures listed above, 2019 is preparing to be a very fruitful year for the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The richest coupon will come from Cassa Depositi which will bring about 1,265 billion euros to via XX Settembre, more than half of the total (equal to 2,46 billion, we recall).

In "second position" we find instead Enel which will yield 671 million dividends to the Mef. Instead, 168 million will arrive from Poste Italiane, 150 from Ferrovie dello Stato, 131 from Eni. Enav closes, which will give the State a coupon of 58 million euros, and Leonardo with 24 million euros.
