The long-awaited event comes to life dividend season which this year a Business Square she will be richer than ever.
Monday April 22 eight companies of the Ftse Mib and seven listed on the other indices will detach their coupon, inaugurating a season that will have its peak on May 20th and will end as per tradition in July with the dividend of a big shot of the caliber of Enel.
Who will pay the dividend on Monday 22 April among the blue chips?

2024 dividends: a 34 billion season
Overall, over the next few weeks the companies in Piazza Affari will disconnect dividends of 34 billion euros with industrialists and bankers to play the lion's share. In detail, according to Intermonte, the amount of coupons on the 2023 financial statements will be equal to 33,7 billion, almost double compared to last year's 18,5 billion (Janus Henderson data). At the basis of the increase is the decision of the vast majority of listed companies increase coupons, generously remunerating its shareholders who will thus be able to increase the profits already achieved thanks to the golden age of the stock exchanges.
Dividends 22 April 2024: yields are also growing
And if coupons increase, yields also increase (and by a lot). The average dividend yield this year it reaches 5%, 0,8% more than the 4,2% a year ago. The absolute record goes to the little girl Saes Getters which, after an extraordinary operation, approved a maxi dividend - which will be paid in May - of 12,51 euros which, at the share price of 34,25 euros, is equivalent to an extraordinary dividend yield of 32,7%. Also noteworthy is the performance of Bank Ifis, the most generous in the banking sector, which will exceed 12%.
And among the securities that pay coupons on April 22nd? The highest yield (calculated on prices on Thursday 18 April) will be that of Bpm bank which, with a coupon of 56 cents per share, will guarantee a dividend yield of 8,8%. They follow in the Ftse Mib ranking relating to 22 April, stellantis with 6,4% e Unicredit with 5,18%.
Dividend 22 April 2024: Unicredit
Let's start with Unicredit. The coupon of the company led by Andrea Orcel amounts to € 1,8029 per share, a figure that exceeds the provisional figure of 1,7950 euros anticipated to the market on 29 February, but above all the 0,9872 euros disbursed last year. If it's not a doubling, we're close. The total dividend is instead of 3,014 billion euros.
In this context it should be remembered that, starting from 2024, Unicredit's ordinary distribution policy provides for a payout of at least 90% of net profit. The dividend accrual will increase to 40% of net profit (up from 35% in 2023), with the remainder of the net profit payout to be made through share buybacks.
Dividend 22 April 2024: Banco Bpm
Let's move on to the queen of returns on Monday 22 April: Banco Bpm will in fact guarantee a yield greater than 8,8%. Banco Bpm shareholders' meeting on Thursday has given the green light to the distribution of a dividend of 56 cents per share, in growth of 143% compared to the 23 cents paid last year. The total amount is 848 million euros.
Dividend April 22, 2024: Stellantis
Stellantis will pay its shareholders a dividend of €1,55 per share, a digit that corresponds to a 16 percent increase compared to the coupon paid last year. The overall amount is instead equal to 4,7 billion euros, the yield calculated on the price of Thursday 18 April is 6,4%, among the most generous of the Ftse Mib. As mentioned, the detachment is scheduled for April 22nd payment due May 3rd.
Dividends 22 April 2024: Ferrari
Ferrari approved the distribution of a dividend equal to 2,443 euros per ordinary share, the highest by amount of the Ftse Mib, in del% increase 35 approximately compared to the previous year, for a total disbursement of approximately 440 million euros. Considering the very high value of the Maranello redhead's shares, the dividend yield is 0,63%. The ex-dividend date is scheduled for April 22nd, the date of entitlement to receive the dividend is April 23rd for ordinary shares traded on both the Italian stock exchange and the NYSE in the United States and the dividend payment date The 3 May.
Dividends 22 April 2024: the other coupons of the Ftse Mib
We proceed in strict alphabetical order. Monday Banca Mediolanum will pay the balance of the dividend equal to 0,42 euros per share on a total coupon of 0,7 euros (the interim dividend of 0,28 cents was paid in November). Last year the dividend of the bank led by Massimo Doris amounted to 0,5 euros per share.
The dividend of Campari instead it rose by 8,3% to 0,065 euros per share (they were 0,06 euros last year) for a yield of 0,69%.
Remaining on the main list, the dividend of Iveco amounts to 0,22 euros per share (last year it did not distribute) for a yield exceeding 1,7%, while the coupon Prysmian, the protagonist of the latest stock market sessions, is 0,7 euros per share, up compared to the 0,6 euros paid a year ago.

The other dividends of April 22, 2024
The returns guaranteed by smaller companies should not be underestimated either. Any examples? 6,6% of Edison R (coupon 0,105 euros), 5,7% dividend yield of Banco Desio and Brianza (coupon 0,2634 euros). It's still: Bff Bank will pay a dividend balance of 0,541 (yield of 4,39%) on Monday against a total coupon of 0,979 (7,9%); the dividend of Basicnet is 0,15 euros per share (3,8% yield), that of Maire Tecnimont of 0,197 euros (2,54%). They remain Piaggio (balance of 0,08 euros, yield of 2,8%) e Culture Milano (0,1 euro per share, 0,69%).
