Dividends April 19, 2022: super early season returns. From Stellantis to Unicredit, here are the coupons

It officially begins dividend season. On April 19, eight companies of the FtseMib, three of MidCap and one of Euronext Growth Milan will detach their coupon, remunerating their shareholders after almost two months of uncertainties and ups and downs due to the conflict in Ukraine.

At Piazza Affari 26 billion in dividends

According to all analysts, 2022 will be a very generous season both in Italy and abroad. Suffice it to say that, according to the data processed by the Equita research office for MF-Milano Finanza, this year in Piazza Affari the total coupons approved by listed companies will exceed 26 billion euros, almost 9 billion more than last year, when, however, many big names in the banking and insurance sector were forced not to pay the dividend due to the stop imposed by the regulatory authorities. Not only that, among the Milanese companies, there will be 31 that will offer a yield above 5% (four of which will detach the coupon on Tuesday 19 April).

Globally, Janus Henderson the offer a new coupon record: the total amount could reach 1,52 trillion dollars, with an increase of 3,1% on a nominal basis or 5,7% in underlying terms. IHS Markit is even more optimistic, estimating a 6% increase to $2.090 trillion.
