The group led by Francesco Starace has improved its position in the Top 100 compared to 2020, ranking first among Italian companies and seventh globally for attention to gender diversity, inclusion policies and human capital development

Enel in the Top 100 of the index compiled by Refinitiv, a global provider of financial data, ranking seventh globally and first among Italian companies. The index rewarded Enel's attention to gender diversity, to the policies of inclusion in the workplace and the development of human capital.

In particular, the Diversity and Inclusion index draws up a ranking of the top 100 listed companies that offer the workplace with the highest degree of diversity and inclusion worldwide, based on 24 parameters divided into four main categories: diversity, inclusion , people development and controversies. The index is then calculated by weighting each metric based on the company's importance in the market and on how each company compares to other comparable companies.

The reconfirmation of Enel in this ranking and the improvement of its position in the Top 100 compared to 2020, they are the result of initiatives aimed at promoting the presence of women on the board of directors and in management positions, as well as promoting the integration of people with disabilities, improving staff skills, as well as creating social benefits and solutions that guarantee work-life balance for all staff.

Furthermore, for the second consecutive year, the company led by Francesco Starace leads the industrial grouping "Electric Utilities & IPPs” of the Diversity and Inclusion Index. The index evaluates more than 11 companies on their diversity and inclusion performance based on publicly available information that Refinitiv gleans from company reports and media reports about them. Enel Américas, Enel's Latin American company, is also included in the index.
