Disney owns 21st Century Fox for $52,4 billion

It's official, Wald Disney has bought 21 Century Fox from the Murdoch group for $52,4 billion. The deal of the century, anticipated by the tam tam of indiscretions and rumors that have chased each other in the last few hours, has therefore concluded to the mutual satisfaction of both parties.

The press release released in the morning confirms this the rumors of the past few days: Walt Disney will buy 21st Century Fox, immediately after it has spun off some assets (Fox Broadcasting and the broadcasters Fox News, Fox Business, FS1, FS2 and Big Ten Network). Disney CEO and chairman Bob Iger will serve until 2021.

Under the terms of the deal, Walt Disney will pay a total of $52,4 billion in stock. Fox shareholders will receive 0,2745 shares of Disney for each stock they own. As stated in the note, the exchange rate is fixed on the basis of the weighted average price of the volume over the last thirty days and implies a total value of the transaction of approximately 66,1 billion.

Disney will also acquire FX Networks, National Geographic Partners, Fox Sports Regional Networks, Fox Networks Grup International, Star India and Fox's stakes in Hulu, Sky, Tata Sky and Endemol Shine Group.
