Discos, gyms, theatres: refreshments are on the way, who can access

I'm coming 140 million euros of refreshments intended for businesses that have remained closed due to the restrictions imposed to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. From discos to gyms, from fairs to cinemas, there are many categories that will be able to benefit from the non-repayable contributions provided for by the interministerial decree signed by the Minister of Economic Development, Giancarlo Giorgetti.

Going into detail, the measure contains a activity list which will be able to take advantage of non-repayable contributions since they have remained closed for a period of at least 100 days. 20 million euros of the 140 allocated will be allocated "as a priority in favor of activities which, on the date of entry into force of the decree-law of 23 July 2021, are closed" explained Giorgetti.

Looking at the Ateco codes reported in the text, among the categories of right holders appear, discos, dance halls, gyms, swimming pools, but also lifts in the mountains (ski lifts, chair lifts, funiculars), catering companies, museum activities and management of monuments and amusement arcades.

In general, nightclubs and dance halls will have the ability to apply refreshments up to 25 thousand euros, while for gyms, sports facilities, theme parks, theatres, cinemas, art, fairs and ceremonies the contributions will reach up to 12 thousand euros.

"It is a necessary measure, promised to the categories that have been forced to remain closed by law", said Giorgetti, adding that "It is right that discos, gyms and other realities in similar conditions have a special tool having paid a higher price due to the changes imposed by the restrictive rules against Covid ".

The decree is now being examined by the Ministry of Economy and must be signed by the number one of the MEF, Daniele Franco. The methods and terms for receiving refreshments will be established through a special provision which will arrive within 60 days of the decree being issued.
