Unicredit rights down (-7,8%): last day of the capital increase

In a few hours the curtain will close on Unicredit's capital increase. Today is the last day for stock market trading of option rights that allow for the subscription of shares to participate in the institution's capital increase. But there are also those who prefer to lighten their position in Piazza Cordusio, such as the Libyan Central Bank, whose stake fell from 4,9% to 2,8%.

Volatility has reigned since the beginning of the negotiations, but by now Piazza Cordusio has subscribed almost all of the established 7,5 billion. The managing director of Unicredit, Federico Ghizzoni, is optimistic, declaring, after i good results yesterday, that on the market "confidence is returning and we are pleased".

But Piazza Affari is starting to be more skeptical. Unicredit rights are down by 7,84% to 2,51 euros and the title marks the worst performance in the FtseMib losing 3,27 to 3,25 euros. And it's not the right direction to recover around 20% to return to pre-announcement levels of the capital increase.
