Insurance executives, Aicardi confirmed at the Andia summit

Paul Aicardi he was reconfirmed as President of Andia for the three-year period 2020-2022. The Assembly of the National Association of Insurance Company Executives, the first association in Italy by number of members in service and by active presence in insurance companies, has in fact renewed the top management of the Association (Dario Scrosoppi, Vice President).

“In recent years, our society and our country – commented Aicardi - have undergone continuous and important changes. The economic and corporate crises, the chronic decrease in jobs, the continuous evolution of the markets, the demand and the need for more welfare, Covid-19, smart working, just to name a few, are issues that cannot fail to find attention, deepening and solution within us and not see us, as far as possible, present and proactive. In a word: protagonists. This reflection can only start from the updating of our representation, from the renewal of objectives and programs, to truly become the representative expression of a sector and not just a category. In this context, a single, central and well-organized structure is increasingly necessary, capable of intervening effectively and promptly on institutions, groups and companies, open to all the corporate and professional components of our sector”.

"Recently - concluded the president of Andia - we have witnessed a series of initiatives that have legitimized to deal, operationally and contractually, with the trade associations of companies of all productive sectors and with the Government, not the trade unions signatories of the CCNL , but the “most representative” ones. The Prime Ministerial Decrees of 2020 signed by the President of the Council of Ministers are irrefutable proof of this. To date, some bills on trade union representation are "hinted" to the Labor Commissions of the Chamber and Senate, the contents of which are very similar. All converge on 5% as the minimum threshold for representativeness. This is the future also for the insurance sector”.

Precisely with reference to the issue of representativeness, in the extraordinary session, the Assembly modified the Statute inserting some preparatory articles for the acceptance of other components of the insurance sector.
