Dior asks Valentino for compensation of 100 euros for the fashion show in Piazza di Spagna: here's what's happening

Dior and Valentino risk ending up in court. This was revealed by the WWD fashion magazine, a global point of reference for fashion enthusiasts, according to which the French giant owned by Bernard Arnault (Lvmh) would have asked Valentino, which has been controlled by the Qatar Mayhoola fund since 2012, a compensation of 100 thousand euros.

What's going on between Dior and Valentino?

Why? Because of fashion show created by Valentino in Piazza di Spagna last Friday. In fact, WWD says that it has seen Dior's request, according to which the Dior store located right on the corner of the Spanish Steps and Via dei Condotti would have been hindered in its activity precisely because of the event. In fact, already from the early hours of the afternoon, customers would have had difficulty entering the boutique, despite Valentino having warned the competition and ensured that it would guarantee the regular pedestrian passage towards the shops. But that would not have been the case.

Hence the request for compensation of 100 thousand euros to compensate for the alleged losses. If Valentino doesn't pay within 15 days, Dior will take "the necessary measures to protect its rights," writes WWD, quoting the French company's letter. Translated: the matter will end up in court.

“Dior is not the only brand present near the Scalinata” where the most disparate brands overlook: it is the heart of the historic center of Rome and a few tens of meters away there are the most disparate brands, “from Camper shoes to Chanel, but apparently they are the first to complain,” the magazine points out.
